Feel – terms of service
By using Feel, you agree to these terms.
What Feel is
Feel is a software product for private emotional check-ins. You can use it on your own, or paired with exactly one romantic partner. It is not a social network. It is not a therapy app. It is not a mental health diagnostic system. It is not a substitute for professional support of any kind.
Eligibility
Feel is licensed to adults. You must be at least 18 years old to hold a Feel account, and by creating one you confirm that you are. This is a condition of the agreement between you and us. It is not a content rating: the age rating shown on the App Store is set separately, through the questionnaire Apple publishes, and describes what the app contains rather than who may hold an account. Feel does not ask for your date of birth, so the age requirement is a condition of use, not a check the app makes. If you believe someone under 18 is using Feel, tell us through the feedback form below and we will remove the account.
Pairing
You can use Feel on your own. Pairing is optional. If you do pair, it is with exactly one other person, who must accept the request. Either partner can disconnect at any time, on their own, without needing the other's permission.
Your content
You retain ownership of the wheel values, feelings, and notes you submit. By using Feel you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content for one purpose only: running the app for you and, if you are paired, delivering your content to your partner. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
Your content is stored on Google Firebase, as described in the privacy policy. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, but it is not end-to-end encrypted. We hold the keys to that storage, so it is technically possible for us to read note text. Access is restricted to the people who operate Feel, and it is used to run the service and to act on a report you send us under Acceptable use below.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Feel:
- To harass, threaten, or harm another person.
- For any purpose that violates applicable law.
- To send content that depicts illegal activity, exploitation of minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- To circumvent pairing, or to reach content that was not shared with you.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
To report something your partner sent you, open Help & support, then Report a concern. The same screen is reachable from your partner's pulse. From there you can disconnect immediately, which takes effect without their permission, and send us a report. We aim to respond within one working day, and we can remove the reported content and suspend the account.
In a crisis
If you or anyone else may be in danger, contact emergency services or a crisis line directly. Feel surfaces crisis resources in the app, but it is not a crisis service.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Feel at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes affecting active users.
Disclaimers
Feel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:
- Feel will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible threat.
- The emotional insights surfaced are accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular situation.
- Using Feel will improve your relationship.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of Feel.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Privacy & safety → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery window and no grace period. We may terminate accounts for violations of these terms with notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the operator of Feel is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts that have jurisdiction there. If you use Feel as a consumer, this does not take away any protection the law of your own country gives you.
